Glee! A short review.

Yes, Glee was on TV last night, or on the 11th of January, whenever I actually get round to posting this. And to be honest? I loved it. Not unreservedly, of course - and anyway I've only seen the first two episodes, which seems to be the way E4 are handling this - but it was more entertaining than 90% of the stuff on the box these days. Puck gets tons better. There are some moments narrated by him that are pretty hilarious, and I don't think the Puck love really started until then. Also, I'm not saying he's a closet case, because I don't think he is, but he fits the stereotype, hence the Puck/Kurt shipping. I love Puck in that male friend who's a little bit of a dick but mostly harmless however you'd never, never introduce him to your girlfriends and would in fact warn them away from him kind of way.

As for the show as a whole, I think you've landed on a good way to watch it. Like most Ryan Murphy shows (Popular, Nip/Tuck) you really can't take them seriously; the events are only there to give the characters something to do, and often don't make any actual sense as a narrative. It's kind of like a long crack fic but with music.

Oh, I do hope he does. At the moment, I'm just WTF-ing at the idea that anyone could find him remotely attractive. Maybe I should get into the fanfic scene and hope that at least some of the writers are less infuriating about certain aspects than the writers of the show.

I have to confess that I watch most TV shows while at the computer. This afternoon, for example, I edited a document about desert warfare in WWII while watching Star Trek TNG... pausing, of course, to watch the fight scenes which are always hilariously over-acted.
