OMG, so loving this digital cable thing, I can't say it enough! When you'd usually be locked out of a hockey game...but all you need to do is change the channel and it's there....hallelujah!

Putting it into an RRSP is the right thing to do. You'll get a tax deduction for 2006, have that much more for retirement AND you won't be tempted to spend it because you have to pay tax every time you withdraw from it and claim it on your income tax if you do (and it's not cheap either!) rather than just keeping it in some savings account where you do have access to it and you'll be tempted to spend it.

And if it's met with argument, do it anyways...you did all this for a reason eh?

I think it's the right thing to do too, that's why I suggested it. I told him it could end up being the downpayment on a new house later on if needs be...he seemed to like that. He's very stubborn and iffy...I know things about stuff...*winces*. But yer, I will do anyway!

I know, I'd like to be a little bit more secure and cut down on frivolity...little bit of Scrooge coming through in me, but it's the good kind.
