Eek! I know how much you love that iPod! Thank goodness it wasn't something serious. But yeah, the earbuds need to be replaced fairly frequently; I think I'm on my third pair now! (Probably because they are long and dangly and irresistible to a certain bad kitty who shall remain nameless!)

I'm ready for lunch too. Getting hungry. Where's my pizza???

Eeps!

It's hard for me to really get my head around how much I depend on mine: I've got music in it, but also lectures, Matt Damon reading A People's History of the United States, Caroline Myss on Generosity and Invisible Acts of Power... All good things for that walk from Uni to the Clinic.

I'm looking at taking a teeny bit of the money from when the loans come, and buying a little portable DVD player. I think my 3-year-old 5-disc carousel needs major work, the TV seems to need something done to the headphone jack, and frankly it's all taking up too much room in my bedroom, since what I really use my movies for right now is to tell me a story as I fall asleep. (I use the commentary tracks and director interviews for that as much as anything...Peter Weir talking about making Master and Commander... oh, my god, how wonderful that is to fall asleep to...)

I know, your iPod is looooooooaded! I only have songs on mine but I'd like to look into the podcasts! The one season of BSG has a disc that has podcast interviews and things embedded on it. I'd love to hear those. And the free japanese lessons that you told me about. That would be very handy. But as it is, if I didn't have my iPod with me when I go out walking at work, I'd be lost...cause it would be very boring, I'd drag my feet cause I don't have a beat to walk to....it's bad.

I know what you mean about the movies...everytime I want a nice long, comfortable, warm nap, I put on LOTR. I love the movies, seen them so many times, but they comfort me and that's why I put them on. Your idea sounds good too, uncluttering one's space is always a good thing, expecially if the stuff taking up space isn't up to it's usual duties anymore.
