Either that or gas. But I'm thinking it's the first one.

he's been having gas smiles for weeks, hence the "real" smile. though even his gas smiles were more like little smirks, like he knew something just awful about us. :P

i'm excited, since he seems a bit behind all the other babies. made me worry that he had nothing to smile about...
