I do have to echo the extreme disappointment I've felt in the sales. I went to my favourite haunts and picked up one thing from Accessorize. Adorable, since I'd been eyeing it for awhile, and a steal at £1.50. A pair of a blackcurrent yogurt shade of purple bow studs. I haven't worn studs in years [I've convinced myself that my ears are fat and therefore, the stem on the back of studs always seemed to fall short] and took the risk on that piece of treasure and was pleasently surprised by them. I have been shopping every day since Boxing Day. I clearly have a big problem.
My main haul has been perfume gift sets to give as presents next year - all at least 50% off, and the fave scents of my family members rarely change.
My only goldmine scores were today, in Matalan. Seems they had more sale stuff than they could handle, so marked it all down to 2 quid. This included shoes, which they actually do really well.... I bought 5 pairs. I squee big style when presented with a large selection of shoes all in a size 8, waiting to be bought... I also scored cashmere cardigans, cosy fleeces for the gym, a few pairs of jeggings, all just 2 quid!
The rest of the high street really let me down, and I feel I spent vouchers just for the sake of spending.
