I totally agree with you! Looking good is not only feeling good, but also expressing how you want to look, using your body/face/hair as a canvas to be creative etc. I personally don't understand how someone can't give two shits about their appearance.
Also, I agree with you about the modelling! It's tiring, and you have to be creative with outfits, make-up, but also with facial expressions, poses, and what you want to convey etc. It's a bit like acting, but for split seconds and without sound.
That's true. People judge so much on appearances. In fact even a lot of people who don't look that awesome themselves. EVERYBODY does it. And that's not likely to change anytime soon, so making a statement about who we are, or who we want to be, at least, is important.
It's difficult enough when you're feeling 100 per cent. Worse when you're tired, or outside somewhere and freezing! My first shoot with Rob McGrory, I had to apologise to him when I arrived because I was under the weather with a pretty severe cold. Honestly my nose was running everywhere and I had to get a million touch-ups for makeup. I felt so out of it. Hopefully that doesn't come across in the photos, lol.
Haha, that is true - why is it often the ugly, dishevelled, sloppily dressed "I don't need to look after myself" types who bitch the most about people based on their appearances?? Maybe they're just jealous cause they're so ugly, haha ;)
And nope, you definitely can't tell in the photos, you did a very good job of hiding it!
Some models like to give that air of stupidity though. I think it's that idea of it seeming 'cute'. But models definitely are anything but stupid. Kate Moss for example has a successful clothing range, while I can't stand the sight of her, I commend her on the fact she's made such a success away from walking down a catwalk
( ... )
I agree. Elle MacPherson has also created a very successful brand and is apparently a brilliant businesswoman.
I always feel better for colouring my hair - even moreso if I have it done at a salon, just because being pampered is truly great for the soul. I don't think people give themselves enough pampering time, and it really does help things like depression and stress. The process of it, and the results. :)
