Okayyy, but if your journal devolves into a bullet listing of when your laundry is done and buying a new toothbrush and running the dishwasher and yawning (all real examples of things I've seen posted to LJ via loudtwitter) you're going to get filtered from my read list, and that'd be a shame.

It's not that I think my readership is soooo important as to influence your blogging policy decisions, and it's not that I don't care what's going on in my friends' lives, and it's not that I don't trust you to produce compelling tweets. But keeping up with the minutia of all of my friends lives (seriously, do I need to know when everyone I know got their laundry done?) reduces a charming written medium to irksome noise.

I love Penny Arcade! That is exactly what I thought of twitter before, the posts like "i'm ordering a hamburger, hmmm what toppings should I get??" annoy the shit out of me. Most of the people I follow on twitter are always compelling or at least entertaining.

I debated for a long time to use the feed feature and actually took an informal poll on twitter of those who use the lj feed and why or why not they use the feed. It's almost unanimous, everybody hates the feed. You convinced me! I'll probably remove it later today.
