In case anyone was wondering, and because I am a huge geek, that tank is called a 'Universal Carrier' or 'Bren Gun Carrier'
Universal Carriers were usually used for transporting personnel and equipment, or as a machine gun platform. It was made by the Vickers company and is unusual as it was steered by an actual steering wheel, rather than two joystick type control sticks.
Not used in the front line much due to its lack of crew protection...it being open topped and all, so yeah...if it was at Dunkrik, it was probably becuse it had been towing a field gun towards the beach before being abandoned...or ferring troops and guns...or wounded.
