Just a totally random thought... With your brownies, make sure you aren't overbaking 'em. The if-the-toothpick-comes-out-clean test that you would use on muffins and cakes is a surefire way to kill brownies. The toothpick *should* have fudgy clumps sticking to it. Between that and the crisp top shell that brownies develop, there's just no good way to test brownies for doneness... you kinda just have to experiment with cooking times and your particular oven. ::headdesk:: It's a pain.

To brownies i usually add one of the following:
a shot of peppermint schnapps
2 shots of Bailey's
a small shot of espresso

mmmmm

I have an excellent recipe for brownies too - from Hershey's no less. Very yummy. Sometimes I add in the multi-colored mini marshmallows or a bag of Ande's Mint Chips. YUM!
