PREVIOUSLY, Jude died in a fire because of general incompetence on Archer's part - and she wonders why nobody will be her friend. Liam broke my heart even more than it was already breaking, and I brought Jude back to life and babied him a little bit. Luca decided to book a trip to China, not only to get him away from the toddlers and to give Jude a nice vacation, but to take Logan, Daisy, Glory, Noro, Tautou, and Archer with them to (hopefully!) help to narrow down the heir choices. Plotting and freak outs were to be had (Daisy and Archer respectively, as if there was any question), quiet invisible chilling was done (Jude, again with the obvious), and martial arts were learned (everyone else).
The next day starts with Luca making breakfast in his underwear. As he does.
See, Jude is actually with them too!
JUDE: You're focusing on me now. Does this mean I have to interact with people? Because I've been doing just fine on my own!

DAISY: Jude! Hey, Jude! I want to talk to you about something!
DAISY: Listen, I need a favor - a distraction, of sorts. You just have to distract Glory and Luca, like this maybe. Just keep their attention away from me for, oh, five, ten minutes. Think you can do that?
JUDE: . . .
JUDE: Or, or, how about THIS idea? I DON'T do anything, and we forget this conversation ever happened.
DAISY: No, I -
JUDE: Oh snap!
I'm going to guess that conversation went well, being that you clearly RAN to the highest point away from Daisy.
JUDE: She's afraid of heights. It'll be her downfall, I'm sure - like this book says, you should use your enemies' greatest fears against them.
. . . I feel the need to prove that some of my kids do, in fact, get along.

LUCA: Hey, I saw you hanging out with Glory, which must mean you're all right, so I was wondering, wanna hang out with me today?

A solitary bike ride followed by reading a book? Are you sure Tautou consented to spend time with you?

Ah, I see. Tautou is possessed by and obsessed with the martial arts post. I have created a monster.

Luca, on the other hand, has moved past his time of whining like Jude.

It's the last day, they can pretty much do whatever they want.

Logan brought reinforcements to help him continue to explore the tomb.
GLORY: I got this, guys. It's all under control.
GLORY: Still got this.
LOGAN: More treasure! Woot woot!
TAUTOU: If he's happy, then that means he's happy to be around ME, right? Right? I'm happy for YOU, Logan!

Scratch that, LOGAN ♥ Gah, that nose! That cute! IT'S KILLING ME.
Tautou is really into this treasure hunt thing, probably because it's the first time she's really felt included by her siblings. To be fair, it's probably the first time Logan's been social since childhood, so I'm really proud of both of them.

Look at them all hard at work - Logan, going to town with his pick-axe! Tautou, carefully opening the tomb door! Glory, . . . pretending to pull a boulder. Can you tell which one has the highest athletic skill? Hint: It's the one not doing any work.

Sadly, that is as far as they got because not only was the trip coming to a close, but their motives were also dangerously low.
I wasn't kidding about the low motives.
TAUTOU: HOSHIT. Quick, avert your eyes!
TAUTOU: WHY, GOD, WHHHHHHHYYYYYY?
And the hot-headed trait finally comes out after the most well-adjusted day Tautou has ever had. The irony.
Incidentally, that is also the last moment of vacation. Hell of a high note to end on.
And they arrive home in an absolute glob.
LUCA: Amateurs.
Logan's socialization with Glory and Tautou made him long to reconnect with his older brother. ♥
JUDE: Wow, Noro, you really are the blonde, female version of me. Right down to the skinny arms.
NORO: I think that's better suited to a girl, really.
ARIA: So, Daisy, tell me about your trip!
DAISY: I have a better idea . . .
What, you thought she was going to do something evil? I think China really mellowed Daisy out.
DAISY: Move those fucking feet, Mom! C'mon, get a fucking move on!
Or not.
Jude decided to shy dance in his parents' room, and into my heart.
ARCHER: Excuse me, I need this room.
ARCHER: :DDD
Dearest Logan, WTF? Why, oh why, would you work all the way to the back of the house, AWAY from the garbage can, just to dump it on the back porch? You suck. Love, kittenmittons
CAROLINA: Hello?
And thus the rest of the evening goes as follows:
JUDE: Check me ow-ut!
Degausser rolled clumsy. I'm not sure about if he resembles anyone yet - maybe Jude/Noro, what with the mouth:chin placement. Time will tell.
Adding bookworm to her traits, Guernica still looks similar to Degausser, except she has the down-turned Luca/Glory/Tautou lips whereas Degausser has a little smirk.
Carolina got the neat trait, and confirmed my suspicions - she is another Glory clone, albeit with red hair and different eyes.
Jude! Adding the flirty trait - I quite like his traits altogether, they work well - and showing off his LTW - and his newfound sexiness. Definitely a good mix of his parents, he got to keep the hair he's been sporting since toddlerhood, though he also got some new facial hair. Very cute!
Daisy, with commitment issues becoming her final trait. Well, that makes her LTW all sorts of fun when you take into consideration her unflirty trait as well. She grew into her features quite nicely, if I do say so myself. However, this shouldn't be surprising as she is almost a clone of Aria, save for a slightly pointier chin. And, of course, Liam's hair/eye combo.
And Glory! Her final trait is perfectionist, which perfectly suits (SEE WUT I DID THAR?) her LTW of Perfect Mind, Perfect Body. She is also a decent mix of her parents - she's very similar to Aria facially, but has Liam's eye shape and color along with a nose that definitely came from Liam. Her lips are pretty interesting too, as they're Aria's shape, but downturned like Liam's. So yes, I'm very happy with Glory. ♥
NEXT TIME, a heir is chosen! Well, to be honest, I kind of have an idea who I want to continue with, but I want to see who you would choose - so vote, won't you, in my hypothetical heir poll. Where I could be convinced to double-heir (WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF?!) depending on how it all shakes out. And then to prolong my tears at sending the grown spares away, I send the five YAs on another vacation as one last opportunity to take entirely too many pictures of them and thus prolong an actual update in favor of spam. Aww.
