Shiny Toy Deprivation
My new laptop showed up this morning. Wheee! I open up the box and find they sent me the pink one instead of white. It's not even a particularly nice pink. A dull, matt pink that would only satisfy pinkiphiles. It was identical to the one I ordered other than colour so I probably would have accepted it if it had been a richer tone. Kits Living Dangerously
It seems that Lucy drinks coffee. The poor thing. Her life may be cut tragically short if she touches my coffee in the morning.
She looks so innocent lying there, not understanding how precarious her grip on life is.

Oops. I forgot about Jury Service starting last Monday. I applied to be excused since it overlapped with uni, which is usually acceptable, but I hadn't heard back and I completely forgot until now. The recorded information doesn't mention my group at all for tomorrow so either they're no longer needed and I'm saved or they're all in trials and I ( Read more... ) -
Skirts
In my school, and in the school of everyone I've spoken to until recently, the skirts of the girl's uniform were as short as the school allowed or shorter. The hem would be taken up as much as the wearer dared. If the skirt couldn't be adjusted then it was worn as high up the body as could be managed so as to raise the hemline. Green Tea Ice Cream
Today I tried some green tea ice cream. I wasn't expecting much but felt like trying something slightly different. Damn it was good. So very, very good. The texture and the ice cream base played a big part in that but the green tea went well with the sweetness.
I want more green tea ice cream!
