You know I just woke up this morning, and was like, I have to write this down, so it is all rambly because I did not edit myself at all. I use to have dreams like this a lot, but haven't in a long time.
But I have also been thinking about writing fiction again lately. I get these ideas for scenes, but then I can never think of what should come before or after and so I don't write. But now I'm thinking I should just write the scene, just to get better at it.
I actually had no booze or medicine last night. I watched The Closer, which is where the bean bag gun came from, they used it in the episode. And then I watched True Blood, which was not very interesting. I was a little worried about the storm, there was big wind again. And for some odd reason the orange cat slept with me last night. I think I had pizza for dinner.
As for writing, a few times I had a scene so fleshed out in my head that I squeezed it into something else I was writing, that was nonfiction. So I did use what I know, writing about my life, to then jump off into fiction by twisting the meaning behind something someone said and turning it all into something else. So yeah I think I am going to try that, writing the little bits that I obsessively think about when I am jogging, or trying to fall asleep.

Yes, you should just write the vignette. You can piece things together later or expand on it or just be happy with the fragment.
