day 1

Sep 28, 2010 09:21

There was a time when I hated being home alone. You may remember me complaining about it, since it wasn't all that long ago. But now, now that I've moved I really don't mind it. So what's different? Well there is more for me to do, cleaning, organizing, unpacking. There is more on tv, as I have started dvring shows to watch specifically for when ( Read more... )

A bear "doing something" sounds like someone describing something naughty but nit wanting to go into detail. So now I'm picturing a bear dry humping a sofa in a fancy new house.

BTW, you maybe the only person in the world who would write about a new home in LJ and facebook and not add 40 pictures. But I guess maybe you dont know anyone with a camera. ;)

Honestly with the bear, I was just trying to avoid explaining extra pointless stuff. If you must know, the rental car Scott got wasn't a car, but some kind of construction truck. It was white and had a whole bunch of stuff on it. The bear was a small brown bear and it was hanging on to the side of the truck. One of the guys was going to get the bear, or stop it, or something, but that's the part I don't remember.

I have only had one dream about the new house, and that was me arguing with Scott and my dad about some rooster statue that I thought was awesome and they thought should be repainted. And I was arguing with them about how the paint is supposed to be in the distressed style and that I was going to find a place for it even if they didn't like it.

Scott is real touchy about me posting identifying stuff, and for someone who lives in this area any outside pictures would be immediately recognizable. Although I do have pictures and will post some at some point.

I guess I wouldn't post outside either. I was thinking more of "look at out new breakfast nook!"

When Lex was a toddler we had a big fat cat named Nikki. She was 40 pounds, easy, not foolin'. She would let Lex do almost anything to her, she was such a shmooze. One day Lex came to get me to show something she was obviously very proud of. When I got up to her room she wanted me to find Nikki. I peeked under the blankets, in her dresser, then I got nervous... Lex used to have this *tiny* little suitcase that wouldn't even fit a pillow in it unless you cut it in half. That suitcase was right in the middle of her floor, and, sure enough, she had somehow wedged poor Nikki into the suitcase and latched it shut... Just to see if she could fit all 40 pounds of that cat into it.

Funny dream. So that's what these days you are posting about mean, days that Scott is gone. I wondered because I hadn't quite caught up this far back. That's what happens with spotty f-page reading! :)

yeah I haven't been good at updating or reading, figured I would start with updating and a little bit of reading, to get back in the swing of things

No worries; you've been just a LITTLE busy moving into a new house. :)
