Total score from Netflix!!!

We just got Big Fan, Moon, and The Hurt Locker

Granted they were all limited run movies and lots of people haven't even heard of them, but still, 3 new releases! I don't even know which one to watch first, well that's not completely true, it's got to be Hurt Locker sorry Sam Rockwell, and Patton Oswald, but I've had ( Read more... )

Everyone says the Hurt Locker is good...I think Patton Oswald also has another movie that's supposed to be good from last year about someone too obsessed with the NY Giants or something....

oh...wait...now i realize you're not saying that Oswald is in the Hurt Locker...because I think the movie I'm talking about is Big Fan.

Your taste in movies is so all over the place. I'm pretty sure it goes like this "everything"

We watched Wactchmen last night and both felt it was way too long and awful.

Yup, you're talking about Big Fan.

Watchmen was way too long and mostly awful. The opening couple scenes were good. The guys who played Rorcharch and the Comedian were good. That's really the best I can say about it.

well, according to Netflix's new feature I like "mind bending dramas featuring a strong female lead" and "suspenseful cult serial killer thrillers".

My thing is to find really good independent films, but independent in that no one has heard of them. It's like my talent.

I guess the Comedian was alright, but I wasn't sold on Bad News Bear guy doing Rorschach. He was better in Little Children, though I didn't like that movie all that much, just 'cause I though the novel was so much better. In any case, that guy will never top being the kid who smoked cigarettes and used every racial slur in the book in the 70s.

Roger Ebert called it a great movie and so did other critics...I just didn't get it...it was so long...and the acting was so blah...and why did they use that chick from Night at the Museum and Entourage to be an old lady when she's like 28? And why is Billy Crudup so tainted as an actor that he can only play blue people? is it because of the whole cheating on pregnant Mary-Louise Parker thing?
