i am seriously considering toasting the "raw" flax crackers i dehydrated for almost 24 hours.  they're pretty tasty, but they just lack the crunch I know they'd get if I jammed them into my double decker hello kitty toaster.  i know it's plain wrong, but the urge is pretty strong.

How wet did your crackers start out? I've made raw crackers in much less time that would shatter into satisfying cracker-shards.

they weren't that wet, but they were probably thicker than they should have been. i got them pretty dry yesterday, but when i put them in a bag, they got soft again. they dehydrated for two overnights, plus about 5 extra hours. insane.

Since discovering the PPK, the biggest realization I've come to is that I'm a bum when it comes to food. Raw flax crackers? Wanna make 'em. Am I going to? Nope. Because I'm lazy. Then again, if I had a kitchen like yours, I'd probably be whipping up tasty goodness all the time.
