I hate how the media only wants to focus on a few drivers ever season, rather than sharing the love. They talked about Mikey a LOT in 2003, but they don't talk about him during races anymore and rarely ever interview him.

Hee, yeah, it cracked me up when he did it. Quite honestly I still wonder if maybe he didn't realize that he'd actually finished the race at that point, and with a halfway decent finish no less. It kinda struck me as a move someone might make out of frustration for having been this close but not quite making it. And he did say in interviews later that the cockpit of the car was completely filled with sod and dirt, pinning him in the car, so I can only imagine how turned around and shaken up he must have been when he climbed out.

Yeah, it kinda drives me crazy. I've honestly stopped paying very much attention to the announcers, and just started to follow whoever happens to catch my eye. I will admit, since I started talking to you on LJ, I've been following Mikey quite a bit during the races. =D
Oh, and it really IS about having a favourite driver and following him that turns a
