My roommate just came down with a head cold from hell and I'm pretty sure I'm catching it, so you are not alone in your stupidly sick for new years thing.
I'm kinda surprised at how much I really don't mind. I mean, I was annoyed at work this morning, but that was more because I felt like crap and I had to work and I despise working when I feel like crap, but the whole being sick when I planned to go have fun thing? Yeah, not bugging me.
In fact, staying cooped up in the apartment and just generally being a lazy, sober bum for New Years has been kinda... relaxing. I might just making this a tradition. Er, the staying home thing I mean, not the snotty, wheezing death part.
Well I almost always stay home. Occasionally I go to a friends house, but the last couple years I've had to work New Year's day, in the morning, so going out doesn't happen. Which is what happened this year.
So the roommate's on the couch sniffly and watching chick flicks, and I'm mostly just sitting in my room trying to hack up a lung. At some point I'll probably migrate out. We are party animals.
