Why struggle?

I had something of an epiphany on the bus this morning.. When considering why I want to simplify and organize and whatnot, I was struck with "why?" I think I have the answer to that elusive question: to be free to do the things I want to do ( Read more... )

Yes. Yes. And yes. Having a small house has taught me a lot of lessons about that. You have to simplify and organize or you end up living in chaos. Tiffany's a purger, where I'm just about in the middle. Living in a small space and living with her has taught me to be able to get rid of things much more easily. There's still more to purge to have things at an equilibrium I want, but it takes time I don't have right now. After that though... party! :)

We had a purge before moving into the tiny house on Arborview.. and yet there seems to be even more now. There is definitely a lot of effort going into changing that now, though. Many thanks to Jess and Erin for that. :)

Yes. Yes. This is not just true with "things"; it is true for emotions, conflict, living space as well. Probably the biggest challlenge for two people living together is that they experience these things differently, but must communitate and trust to make it better, from both sides, equally. I struggle with this every day; kids make it so much harder.

If you have not read "getting things done" you should; I think you'd like it.
