ooh. this sounds like an interesting plot! and it's a refreshing change in characterization, in terms of the fandom. ^_^ i'm a fan of everything you write, so i'm sure this series will turn out wonderfully should you decide to continue it...

p.s. i'm sure that you weren't the only one inspired by that teaser pic, lol. XD sm's getting us all excited.
