Ahaha. Growing up I read a lot of books about people who lived in the ~wilderness and braved the elements to live off the land and were Very Manly. Often, these Manly Men had a loyal pack dog for a companion, and a hatchet tucked into his belt, and it was all very rugged

Bob wears flannel! He has one of those hats with the ear flaps and chops his own firewood! He's totally surrounded by nature and isn't sure what to do with it at first! He's only been camping a couple of time in his entire life, and now he is braving the elements and...okay, not living off the land because he goes into town for food and stuff, but come on! He's a Mountain Man now! (Grrr.) He like, lived in the city until some relative he didn't even know about died and left this huge chunk of land to him. There are wolves living on it! He doesn't know anything about wolves!

Frank is that guy who chews on a toothpick and is sort of an asshole? But he also knows everything that goes on around town. Ray's cheerful and smiley, except when you ask about the wolves, and then he's kind of a spazzy freak! He lets people run tabs at his store even when can't really afford to! (I'm totally describing every book like this I ever read as a kid! \o/)

So! I'm really kind of fascinated by these two wolves. I bet they hang around Bob's cabin all the time, and he maybe names them?

Or are they secretly werewolves? (OOoh, backwards werewolves would be kind of neat as well. *ponders this*)

THEY ARE! I keep laughing at the mental image of skinny MIkey-wolf! ♥

Totally harmless! They don't even chase squirrels, and Bob maybe wonders how they survive if they let the squirrels climb all over them like that. Really. It's unnatural.

Oh god. They give the squirrels rides! Mikey!wolf just blandly tolerates it, and Gerard!wolf practically scoops them up on his back to haul them around. Frank and Ray feed them, obviously.
