The debate teacher would be really surprised when Frank put together really solid arguments about comic book characters and rock bands, but then lament when he couldn't argue the topics they were supposed to have prepared.

Hahaha! Frank would bullshit his way through whatever the actual topic was for a few minutes before going all "The hell with this!" and then starts in with a clever and insightful argument on the gender disparity in comic books or something. He has examples and suchlike, he just needs to run out to his locker for a moment!

He wants to bring in Gerard as an expert in the field and gets really annoyed when his teacher says Gerard doesn't count and shouldn't he be getting back to home ec? his bunt cake might burn!

Everyone is shocked when one of the topics for the county wide debate goes beyond abortion, gun control and the death penalty and includes "violence in the media" Frank spends weeks getting his defense of comics ready. Brian has to handle TV and they work together on video games.

Hee! Gerard would get huffy about being dismissed, but his bunt cake! (Frank would be annoyed, but Gerard's freaking out is a little hilarious. Okay, a lot hilarious.)

Frank has this whole counter-argument about video games creating reclusive, anti-social loners who confuse reality with fantasy who then re-enact scenes and acts of violence from video games. He has charts and documented proof about the way video games create real bonds between people who are in the dame guilds or play together via online gaming services and how the reality/fantasy line is a convenient excuse for the anti-video game advocates! He calls it the new 'temporary insanity' plea, and maybe I feel more strongly about the anti-video game advocates than previously thought!

Frank's surprised at how into it he gets because really, he was just humoring his counselor, but he loves it! Gerard maybe gets weirdly excited about it, and Frank likes that even though he's not really sure why? Brian rolls his eyes a lot because seriously, Frank, how so dense?
