Actually, when I first read the word, I immediately thought of a car repairing shop called "jiffylube" and thus I immediately think of some type of machinery related stuff... And thus before reading your "teacher's comment", I didn't associate it with any "bad thing"!! ^.~ your teacher has the "same" obscene mind as you are...

OMG!! What was wrong with 'lube'?! It's a perfectly good word.. And that was what came into my mind first, too. Took me several minutes to finally come up with 'blue'. This shows how much fandom has got to us..^_~

It took me a seriously long time to come up with blue, as I thought no teacher would go for lube so that can't be it, I was toying with buel, leub [a perfectly kewl alternative spelling for lube, or so methinks..you?].. I even considered bleu [yeah I'm hungry]..

"bleu" would have been worse, because it's French and our teach is allergic to us using French during her English classes^^; (I'm at a French-speaking uni BTW, hence)

I just showed the letters to my sis moments ago, and guess what word she came up with..also LUBE!! And she's NOT a fangirl. I can attest to that. Seriously, your teach should just admit she wanted to hear the 'lube'-word without getting accused of being perverted and satisfy her subversive tendencies..

I asked my ppl in the class but they couldn't come up with anything (yeah that's our wonderful "advanced" level).
Even if she wanted "blue", my word was perfectly correct. And she's the one at fault if she can only associate fangiring stuff with it (fhufhufhufhuuuu, maybe I should dig deeper in that direction? I'd have something to blackmail her xD)

I started English lessons at high school very late because I was in Latin, so I had only 3 years of English and those 3 months spent in England. For the rest I had to read and study on my own...

during Geography lessons, especially one of my teacher (we have 2 teachers per subject here) loves to make us do powerpoints and then have them presented during class. So the presentations would be projected onto a screen thing yeah, in our case, a smart board where you can basically use it like a touch pad thing to move the mouse around etc. Since it's basically an enlarged version to a computer/laptop screen. Now me and another friend of mine don't have a thumbdrive and so have to send our work through the e-mail (gmail) then access it through there. My friend went first and so when he opened his e-mail everyone can see it since it's already in the smart board. Opening the e-mail with the attached work, my teacher saw the time when he sent it, or in gmail's case, they show the no. of hours. My teacher was like "7 HOUR ago??! No wonder you guys always sleep during my class! You always do your work around midnight!" *everyone snickered and laughed* so true... then my turn came. Once again, the whole process of signing in onto e-mail

ooooo forgot to reply to the rest. Latin!!!! You have no idea how much i want to learn Latin! ;_______; i want to learn it soooooo badly. For English, i read alot before although i don't understand like alot of the vocabs that was used =p i read alot of books by Enid Blyton, her stories are amazing~~ and i guess they also contribute for my love to fantasy related things and animals right now.
