I just found this universe and read both stories back to back.

Oh my gosh I can’t stop laughing.

I almost felt sorry for Chin and Steve. Almost.

I wonder if quilting will be next? :)

Have you ever seen this sight? It's a howl. :)

The wonderful thing about quilts is you can make someone a family heirloom that will be cherished and proudly handed down for generations. A true piece of art. I have one that was given to me where 4 generations of my family worked on it together. Or you can give a gift that can be pulled out and wrapped in like a big snuggly hug when someone is stuck far from home ( ... )

Now I just want to wrap myself in a warm, snuggly quilt! I've seen some truly amazing quilts, and outright terrifying ones as well. I love how. Um. Versatile they can be? ;)

Ahaha, I know I shouldn't laugh, but. Uh. Sorry?

My mother’s family is northern Appalachian.

So my mom’s families quilt making traditions are heavily influence by the PA Dutch and their hex signs. So colors, design and design placement on a quilt ect can mean certain things. For example Stars are protection. Goldfinches good luck and happiness, ect. Then they’d weave a little more good luck, protection, or blessings with the clear stitching patterns that hold the layers together.

So the quilt would be made to match the occasion depending on if it was a wedding, birth or tryign to protect someone headed overseas.

I think my great aunt got caught up in the message she was trying to send and didn't consider how everything looked once put together. Either that or she really is pissed at me and I haven't figured out why yet. :)

I had no idea about any of that, it's really, really cool.

Ahaha, that's both adorable and hilarious and all-over kind of sweet. (Not the possibly being pissed at you part, but yes. ;D)

Hmm…

That’s interesting it seems the Hawaiians do have some interesting traditions regarding quilts.
