Oh hey, it's 2011

Jan 02, 2011 01:00

Wow, it's been a year. A weird year that was long in some places and short in others and generally just full of stuff. Last year I was too busy moving to make my usual end-of-the-year post, so this year will be something of a fresh start-- no resolutions from last year to reflect on. ( But I can reflect on the year itself! )

You should come to Jiffycon if you can, Dreamation if you can't! Heck, we can even drive down from Morristown and pick you up for Dreamation, assuming we get everything coordinated to go.

Seconded! Also Recess!

It's not too late to register to GM for Dreamation, which gets you in for free, and you'd be welcome to squeeze into my hotel room with me and my friends!

Ooh, I've missed gaming with friends!

How many games do they need you to run? I can run Bliss Stage, and if Ben is okay with it and they allow playtests, I can also run Mud Dragon. I have a Friday morning seminar, but I could probably head out there after that, assuming some sort of ride-ness (even just pickup from the nearest train station) can be arranged.

Pickup from the local train station is easy peasy. Shreyas' family also has a house a couple blocks from HQ that no one lives in.

Vinnie loves playtests and you should probably run a minimum of 2-3 games.

Oh weird, I thought I saw wolven's icon in the corner of my eye, but it isn't there.

Happy new year! I tried calling but your mailbox says it's full.

I'm right there with you on the focus/procrastination thing.

Be ready to revise your push-ups resolution upward :) I made the same resolution (ten push-ups) a couple years ago, and discovered that the learning curve kicks in really fast; I was doing twenty-five within a few weeks.

Your year sounds really exciting! In spite of the procrastination thing, which I hear you about, it sounds like you did a lot of living between episodes of studying and sickness. I guess you've moved so many times in your life that you don't experience it as an accomplishment anymore, but from over here I'm astonished at how comfortably mobile you are!
