Ghost Writer is an incredible movie - so crisp, so nuanced and detailed. Everything perfect: casting and actors - superb, script - a real intelligent thriller, music - out of this world, deserves an Oscar in its own right. Roman is king.

I saw it on an airplane last week. I didn't watch very carefully because I had the baby with me and I didn't get any of the sound. And I never heard of this movie before and fully expected some junk. And I dislike movies in general. Even so, I concluded it was an unusually good movie!

I don't think it was heavily promoted in the States, because of the whole Polansky controversy, despite it being obviously an expensive production and having star-actors. I heard of it on NPR (where else? :). A pochemu ty ne lyubish' kino? Nikakoe?
