Graduation or Prom?

So this year was my niece's senior year of high school but everything she was looking forward to has been cancelled:  besides classes, all of her sports activites, her graduation ceremony and her prom have been done away with.  I did hear that the school might have the graduation ceremony moved to July but I wonder, would the kids want to have

I graduated but I didn't go to the prom and I don't feel at all traumatized or anything about it.

I hope that's how my niece and her friends will feel in the future--right now I think she's too emotional to see the forest for the trees :)
