The Ladies short program is always intense and I couldn't be prouder of Karen Chen, Mirai Nagasu and Ashely Wagner for putting down excellent programs and for truly showing up to compete--I wish I knew what was troubling Gracie Gold because she's just as good as any of the other skaters.  She just has to believe it.  Fingers crossed that all four

I caught just a little bit of the free skate and I really enjoyed Zhang's skate before the big guns came out. Gracie Gold seemed slow and stiff, but all the ladies are enjoyable to watch. I love that Ashley is still in the game!

Yes, it is awesome to see a 25 year old woman out there competing with the teenagers and able to hold her own :)
