1. What is beautiful to you?
Ah, it's probably a really weird thing to find beautiful, but a few years ago when - of all things - I watched one of the Incredible Hulk movies, I was really struck by how really beautiful a city that was featured briefly was. I don't know recall the exact city, but I'm pretty sure it was something like a Favela. Which... is probably a really odd thing to find beautiful, but when I think of "beauty" it's the first thing to come to mind.

2. What do you find beautiful about yourself?
Mm, not much. I'm one of those typical American girls that doesn't find many good traits in herself. But I'm extremely fond of my hair, which has gone through a number of bleachings and still loves me (and gets to be a beautiful, bright color every few months~) and... I suppose my fingers, because I like to think they're bony from time to time.

3. Do you think your definition of "beauty" will/has stayed the same throughout your life?I've never thought much on "beauty" outside of physical things. And even then, growing up I ( ... )

7. Which is more beautiful? a famous painting that has been plastered all over the popular media and even non-art majors can name the artist and title of the work? Or a similar, but not as famous painting that is not commonly shown in commercials and other pop-media?
I think it would depend entirely on the painting itself. Both can be beautiful in their own right; the popularity of something shouldn't be able to define whether you find something beautiful.

8. Do you find tattoos/piercings beautiful?
Some tattoos and some piercings, but not all tattoos and not all piercings. I find stretched out earlobes to be extremely ugly (the exceedingly large ones, at least; the smaller ones that are maybe the size of quarter aren't so bad.) more often than not, and I find most tattoos that are simply writing to be a bit stupid. But I adore most piercings otherwise, and I've found all intricate tattoos that I've seen to be quite beautiful.

9. Do you find someone who is smart beautiful? It would depend, wouldn't it? It's... probably not very ( ... )

1. What's inside. Personality wise, anyway. I don't put much stock into physical beauty. It fades.
2. My eyes, if I had to pick something physical. Otherwise, the fact that I'm hard working and patient.
3. I think it's set. I had a different view when I was young, but working in the fashion industry shocked it right out of me. I learned quickly that a lot of stereotypically beautiful people were some of the ugliest people inside.
4. My grandmother. Even at her old age, she has the loveliest eyes I've ever seen and the warmest heart.
5. I look more like my grandmother, but my parents are attractive enough I suppose. Not that those kind of things matter.
6. I can't think of anyone famous that I really consider beautiful. Sadly, I can't even think of someone famous that I've paid attention to enough to remember offhand.
7. Neither is more beautiful.
8. They can be.
9. If they're also pleasant in personality, yes.
10. It's probably cultural.

1. What is beautiful to you? Certain people I've throughout my life, some that have passed away and some that are on the wrong side of earth. Mostly it was there kindness and wisdom that I found beautiful, it was the fact they never stopped smiling, never stopped having hope in the future. Don't forget nature, it's something that can never fade away, although nature itself is something that we humans can destroy one of these days. Oh, how I fear and dread the thought. Also, I shouldn't forget children for their purity and trust. <3

2. What do you find beautiful about yourself? Oh, dear. I can't pick anything. I can't really find any good points with myself, call it self esteem, I call it foolishness. But since I have to pick something it might just be my blindness towards people and instant trust I have for everyone, sometimes even people that have hurt me… I still trust them.

3. Do you think your definition of "beauty" will/has stayed the same throughout your life? Nope, when I was a kid I was like any other kid. All I cared about ( ... )

6. Name a beautiful person who is famous. Why did you choose them? Celine Dion. Hmm, she is beautiful (to me!) in every sense of the word, when it comes to stars. She is very goofy, isn’t afraid of showing the real her, sings amazingly and overall is just… epic. But they all have their beautiful personality traits.

7. Which is more beautiful? a famous painting that has been plastered all over the popular media and even non-art majors can name the artist and title of the work? Or a similar, but not as famous painting that is not commonly shown in commercials and other pop-media? The second, I always found the unknown much more beautiful. Mostly because it doesn’t have as much attention.

8. Do you find tattoos/piercings beautiful? Er- I find some tattoos drop dead gorgeous, but I don’t really like tattoos in general. Mostly due to my religious beliefs. Now for piercings~ Ear and nose piercings are lovely! I have an ear piercing~ I’m hoping to get one in my nose too. xD Blame the fact my grandmother is Indian. <3

6. Name a beautiful person who is famous. Why did you choose them? Oh, must I not forget Raven symone. She is just awesome, she looks cute, not like all those skinny actors, never got into drugs or anything. Just. Epic.

1. What is beautiful to you?I'm assuming from the rest of the questions that you're primarily talking about beauty in the context of human physical beauty, although you are inviting and sometimes leaning towards a broader definition of the term. As far as human physical beauty goes, I'm generally attracted to the aspects that make an individual unique. These can be inherent physical features or intentional groomed features, and there are few aspects or qualities that I find universally unique, although I do tend to dislike mainstream standards of intentionally groomed beauty (like highlighted hair, tans, breast enlargements, etc ( ... )

6. Name a beautiful person who is famous. Why did you choose them?
"Beautiful" tends to carry connotations of feminine and physical; beautiful famous person immediately makes me think of people who are popularly considered beautiful, rather than just living up to my own personal standards. I also don't know the real personalities of famous people, and so I'm again limited primarily to physical aspects. Those elements certainly influence my choice. Off the top of my head, the name that comes to mind is Monica Bellucci. She's pretty much universally considered beautiful, but I also find her personally attractive both because, however generally accepted she is, her features (her mouth in particular) are still unique, and because she has a distinctive and attractive carriage or, more generally speaking, self-presentation: she appears powerful, confident, and playful in the way she carries herself and acts, and I find that remarkable and attractive.
