some things just stick with you, I guess...

A little over a decade in Georgia, and I can still recognize the sound of a snowplow when I hear one pass by... looks like Seattle just got it's first bit of snow since we got here, though I doubt it will last the day.

Looks like it, mostly. I, fortunately, don't have to try to - I can just watch out the window. *grin*

Also keep in mind that it's pretty flat RIGHT out our window, but there are lots of rather imposing hills nearby.

Actually, from all reports and observations, Seattlites freak out about snow in roughly the same proportion as folks in Atlanta. It doesn't apparently snow that much/often in the city, though obviously you get a fair bit up in the mountains nearby.

Do you also remember how pterodactyl mosquitoes sound when they're hungry and buzzing around your ear? And the sound of a snow blower that you can't get to start? And the melody of "On All Sides Snow"? Ah, how the past lives on in the gray matter of all of us.

I certainly do remember the pterod - I mean, mosquitoes. I forgot entirely about On All Sides Snow, however. *grin* You remember my songs better than I do. :)
