I just saw that earlier today and it actually made me tear up a bit. Something I didn't think was possible... a zombie "movie" that's clever, sad and weirdly sweet.
I guess most zombie stories would end pretty quickly if everyone actually THOUGHT THINGS THROUGH. I mean really, zombies are slow moving and not terribly hard to kill. Not the kind of apocalypse tale that lends itself to endless angst and death without a few characters being short on common sense.
IE, The Walking Dead- although I have not seen this season for much the same reason you mentioned not reading all of Cold Days in one go. Too much pain is too much. I have to be in the right frame of mind for it, even if I do think half the characters are in fact, too stupid to live.
PS- Do you listen to the Dresden Files or read the books?
I am so zombiephobic that even a simple drawing makes me whimper... BUT wow, this was so sweet and tearful. I'm glad I chanced it and watched. It was watchable for me. I'm glad. Also, holycrap the ending. *cries*
I have seriously already watched this 4 times. Thanks so much for the link. Indeed, I wish that Walking Dead had half the heart, ingenuity, and characterization in any given 4 episodes that this managed in 7 minutes.
