If I were the dad I wouldn't pay either.

However, hate speech is protected by the First Amendment. Are they disgusting human beings who should be struck down dead? Yes, of course. But they have a right to say what they want.

In other depressing news, someone just linked me to a story about nine HS students who are being charged in criminal court for driving another student to suicide due to their constant bullying.

I agree. Although the courts have determined they need to keep a distance. It's a godamn funeral.

The lawyers should never have taken the case. There is no way to win it, the precedent would have horrible implications.

I am beyond furious. I wouldn't pay it either. I just wouldn't. I despise people who twist a free-speech right to justify unspeakably vile behaviour.
