Perched at the bar alone, for the moment, Dolores Marroquin nursed the last of a glass of red wine someone had bought her and watched the band onstage through the haze of her own cigarette smoke

*Dolores recognises the scent of Chance's perfume the second she kisses her ear. And despite her confused musings she can't help but shudder a little inside at the warmth of her body and breath so close and the whispering candice of her voice*
Oh, hello stranger. *She smirks, gently accusing as she hadn't seen the girl all night*
*Shaking her head, Dolores tries to rid herself of the self-impossed bad mood. She really had no reason to be mad at Chance. Or nita. Or anyone but herself*
*Flashing Chance a closed lipped smile* No. Nothing. I just missed you tonight, is all.
*Taking an hour break, John leaves the backstage heading towards the bar for a drink before he has to join the rest of the band on stage once more. He sidles up to the bar, helping himself to a gin and tonic, lite on tonic, heavy on the gin. He takes a swig, then glances over towards where Dolores and Chance are sitting canoodling with one another as they gaze towards the stage. He watches the direction their eyes are focused on, leading in the general direction of Nita and Fritzie. The girls on stage have edged closer to one another, exchanging quiet, flirtatious looks as the Emcee does his thing at the edge of the stage. Nita had divulged some vague references to a recent fling a few nights ago to him, and judging by the looks they were giving one another, it seemed to be it was still on the hot and heavy with them. Then he remembered the brief tryst Nita had with Dolores not too long ago. He looked back over to where she sat with Chance, spotting the vague glimmer of jealousy in her eyes. He smiled softly to himself, shaking his

*Having just sipped her drink, Dolores raises her glass again to John, her face placid as she sets it down on the bar.*
As well as ever. *She replies, trying not to betray her emotions and ignoring the on-again off again annoyances between John and herself. Poaching each others customers will do that to a potential friendship.*
I've been around. *She replies with a polite smile and sips her drink while John talks to Chance*
*When he asks if he is interupting Dolores quickly sends a glance to the other woman as if to ask if she was planning on being alone together but replies* No, you're not. I was just sitting on my own and Chance came to join me.
The Emcee, dressed in his usual stage attire and a well-worn tuxedo jacket with tails, sweeps in behind the bar quite purposefully -- his purpose being to procure some gin.
"Well, well, aren't we all cozy here."
He eyes the three in turn with a vaguely smirking glance before setting up a glass and filling it.
*Her big dark eyes following the Emcee's every move, Dolores keeps her mouth shut. Somehow not feeling the need to talk unless directly spoken to. Besides, she thought things were looking cosier on stage than here.*
He does sense the slightly awkward chill, but that doesn't stop him from milking it. Leaning on one hand with his drink in the other, he looks directly at Dolores now. He's never really been on good terms with her, and at the least he's remained indifferent to her presence.
"Senorita Marroquin, how wonderful to see you again. Keeping yourself busy, I hope?"
*Dolores blinks and scrunches up her nose a little in shock when the Emcee settles himself right in front of her and sitting up a little straighter she replies*
I'm surprised you remember my last name, chico. I'm as busy as ever. Though I don't suppose you'd like to help a poor girl out with her rent? *It is obviously a proposition by the way she looks his thin frame up and down, but a proposition with no real intention or warmth in her voice*

*He raises his glass and his eyebrows at Chance*
"Good to see you as well...I think it's been even longer...er...I'm not interrupting anything am I?"
*He notices the closeness between the two girls, worrying he butted in on something private*
