I DMed a game of D&D yesterday for the first time since summer 2005 (and the first time DMing for more than two people since...2003?). Ah, the good times of party combat, insane but hilarious characters, house rules and Kit's Gimpy Magic (tm). I didn't bring in any episodes of "Judo With Kit," so the players should definitely count themselves ( Read more... )

I did get close at the end of the game, when they wished (genie, eh?) for the room to rewind to right before a fireball hit it and destroyed the only thing that would stop the doomsday device...at which point, time reversed as they stood in the room where the fireball hit. So they got hit with a fireball in reverse and had to make Reflex saves.

...What made it great though was that --when the fireball hit the first time-- the villain's spell resistance kept him from getting hit. In reverse though, the wizard made his caster level check and got past the SR...so the villain took the full brunt of a 9d6 fireball, coming back up, as it were.

I love Kit's Gimpy Magic (tm).
