A magic square is a square of numbers that adds up to the same number whichever way you add (across, down, usually also at a diagonal).
So you could have a 3x3 magic square, using the numbers 1-9, where each row, column and diagonal added up to 15.

Usually, magic squares use all different numbers, but you can have it work almost any way you want, as long as all rows and columns still add to the same number.
