His Spot [drabble]
I dunno why my header was deleted when I posted this, but...
Title: His Spot

Summary: Kakashi has developed a few neuroses over the years, but thankfully Naruto loves him enough to be patient.
A\N: written for queershinobi100 with the prompt "crazy."
Kakashi came into the room with a tea tray. He set the tray on the table in front of the couch and lifted a cup and saucer to Naruto, who took it with muttered thanks.
Picking up his own cup, Kakashi turned to the couch to sit, but froze in his tracks. He glanced around the room and shuffled in his spot nervously.
Naruto was sitting on the far right side of the sofa, his tea resting precariously on the arm beside him. "What's wrong?" he asked, noticing Kakashi's anxiety.
Kakashi licked his lips and said quietly without looking at Naruto's face, "You're in my spot."
"What?" Naruto asked, not sure if he'd heard the man right.
"You're sitting in my spot," he said.
"So sit somewhere else," Naruto said dismissively. He took a gulp of tea and turned his attention back to the television--the movie was starting.
Kakashi shuffled again for a few more seconds before attempting to do as Naruto suggested.
He tried sitting next to the blond, but there was nowhere to put his tea--unless, of course, he wanted to scoot to the edge of his seat and lean all the way to the table.
He tried sitting on the far left of the couch, but the cushion felt weird, and it threw him off having his tea on the left instead of the customary right.
And the floor was just too horrendously uncomfortable to speak of.
Kakashi stood up--tea still in hand--and turned in a circle, unsure of what to do.
"Oh, for Kami's sake..." Naruto cursed. He picked up his tea and moved to the middle of the sofa.
"Thank you," Kakashi said quietly as he sat in his spot--now warm from Naruto sitting there.
The blond snorted derisively. "You're annoying..."
"I can't help my neuroses." He took a sip of tea. "Hm...cold."
Naruto rolled his eyes and put an arm around his scarecrow. "You're lucky I love you, ya crazy old man."
Kakashi smiled. "And you're lucky I love you too, or else I would have just thrown you out of my spot and onto your head."
