Hello! Great story, and as an old-school R/Hr fic writer myself, I really appreciate your characterization of Ron and I'm looking forward to seeing more Hermione.

I'd like to ask that you please consider posting your chapters a bit closer together, as they're really not long enough to wait 5+ days for the next one! :) Thanks for considering!

The chapters are coming as fast as I can do them, they are being edited and then formatted for LJ/various archives as I go, which takes time. I also have a full-time job and a lot of pressures on my non-work time and not as much time for fanfic/writing as I would like! The first three chapters were posted within about a week, but then I became very busy. Also, I would like to note that this chapter is about a third the length of the rest, because it is an interlude. The next chapter will be back to the present day and regular length.

Aah, I'm also curious about why Hermione ran. I think I can imagine why, but in my head it would be unlike herself...unless she's too proud to admit that she ~made a mistake? Idk. It was shorter than I expected, but I'm glad we're going back to regular length after this! I understand you don't have all the time in the world for this, but I'm really excited about the next part, as usual!

I'm glad you didn't get rid of it, it would have been a shame! I also read michaelho's comment just now and I totally agree that this was better kept short, after all it's love Ron should care about the most, not raunchy details which are more connected to carnal desire than the heart.

Yep, the brevity was supposed to convey that it's just a memory at this point, and one of the last memories he has of Hermione. And pornographic detail would have been a bit weird in this chapter! I have written sex before and will again but in this story it doesn't really fit.

This feels very atmospheric and soft. It's lovely. Normally Ron/Hermione isn't very interesting to me for whatever reason, but you make them so relatable here. Thanks for sharing :D
