They're basically all from the same place, McVicar Creek off of Briarwood(although the first one was taken on Farrand and the last one is Margaret/Shuniah.)
pretty pictures.. aw mcvicar's creek. i miss the days of swimming in there...i guess it was more like wading. once a girl got mad at me because she wanted to fish while i was wading so she threw crayfish at my head.
I was thinking about you as I was walking back yesterday, as creepy as they may sound. I was wondering if you ever skipped class - yes, in elementary school - to go to the creeks with us. I have this vague memory of you and I at the other end of the creek (off of Farrand) after a track meet.
...someone threw crayfish at you?!? only in Thunder Bay.
It's very well possible. I remember going to a creek with you at some point too. After a track meet...yes, we did hang out after a track meet, I think...and part of it involved creek going and part of it involved going to your house and using the slip and slide. I miss the old days. I think I have a picture of you at my birthday, probably 4th or 5th and you gave me one of my favourite barbies.
I also think I remember someone telling me a story (or rumour) about how you saw a naked old man painting down by the creek. The things people talk about...Oh the memories :)
It certainly must have happened then! I forgot about that - it was called The Wet Banana - I wonder if we still have it somewhere. I wonder how we got away from the school...it doesn't seem logical that it would be so easy for us to get away, but apparently it was.
I remember that same story, but it wasn't me. I think it was Tara, actually. Or maybe Ashley. Shuniah was great, sometimes.
AUGH you always take these pictures that remind me of your writing because they are oh so pretty and kind of sad in a way. Two and seven are especially magic to my entire face, seriously number seven is amaaaaaazing so much so that I can't really believe it. There is magic where you go.
Thank you, Frances. The "magic to my entire face" bit cracks me up like it's nobody's business. Or something. And also? There is magic where you go might be the prettiest thing I've ever heard, and also the most fitting for North Western Ontario.
