Yay! :D I was freaking out cus I thought it would be all scratched up, and as it's my mom's... Well, she wouldn't kill me, but my dad probably would! LOL
The first time I had an accident I had had my licence all of about 6 weeks and my Dad was comming home from a business trip and my mom suggested I go pick him up. It was like 11pm at night and there was freezing rain. I made it about the same distance you did going about 15 miles an our and the car just went...tump and slid itself right off the road! there was not a single thing I could do! So I ran home crying and they had to call a tow truck to get it out of the ditch. It was in such a hard angle that he had to hook it from the front end and pull it from the back end so that it would 180 out of the ditch, Well it came out all right and it totally bent the whole minivan frame! The doors never shut right again.
I am finding it very funny how closely our stories mirror eachother. HAHAHAHA TWINS!
Honey. This is NORWAY. SIX MONTHS out of the year we have slippery roads. We don't use CHAINS.
ROFL.
Actually, we don't use chains, but not because we're as cocky as I just was. ;) We have two sets of tires, one for summer use, one for winter use. It's prohibited to use winter tires when it's icy, I don't remember the exact date, but if you use summer tires after that you risk getting a huge fee! The winter tires have small spikes in them that assures that we don't slide. I love driving on snow actually, especially driving to the city (meaning being on the road for 5-6 hours). :)
Oh, and I forgot; that isn't MY car. It's my mom's. It's a 2007 Ford S-Max, and there is no way I'd afford that. My car on the other hand, is a 1983 Ford Granada that is almost falling apart. It's a cult car here though, if you know what I mean by that, it has a strong following sort of, so I get approached regularly by guys I know telling me how awesome my car is and if I ever sell it, if I can let them know. :P
I love my mom's car though, it is awesome, and driving it is so comfortable! <3
Oh that sucks. At least you weren't stranded in the middle of nowhere.
The first time my uncle drove after getting his license, he rearended another car two miles from the house. I think my mom thought he was joking for a minute when he called to tell her he'd been in an accident.
Your house looks awesome, by the way. And SO MUCH SNOW. And it's all white and pretty. I've heard it gets dirty and turns black, but I guess that's more in cities?
I know! Such luck, especially considering my cell phone is a bit broken so it doesn't take charge anymore, thus keeps dying on me. Being stuck in the middle of nowhere would be a complete disaster!
Bahaha! It is so bad getting in accidents, but stories like that are still funny! ;) When you know it ended well, of course. Man, I think I'd die of shame if I was your uncle. xD
Thank you! I guess that should be the picture of the day for itself one day. I never thought of showing that off. :) Hehe, yeah, that actually isn't all that much snow either. And it's always white here, except for in the middle of the road of course. You're right, it's mostly in cities it gets dirty, and only in the city centers. If you get on the outskirts it's basically white again. :)
