it's nice to know i'm not alone! i almost 18, and also don't want to (never have) learn how to drive. both of my parentals know how, my two brothers are learning, my sister is too young for awhile but shows no signs of NOT!DRIVING ness that i've always had, etc. --Tiffany

I got my license at 35, despite having started the drivers' ed process at 17. It really helped in my learning, and through my early months of driving, to have a good driver who is also a very calm person along with me quite often, either as a teacher or a passenger.

My car threw a rod on the freeway only a couple of months after I got my license, and I handled it all really well, largely, I'm sure, because I had such calm instruction at the end.
