How many times can I gasp OMG?

Thank you SO much for posting this and bringing it to my attention. I had goosebumps. I couldn't believe how well he sang. The only fumble is that he doesn't have the stamina (yet) to keep the high note going (which is intended to drive audiences wild). But, oh, you could see the reaction on so many faces in the audience. And, BTW, my fave tenor aria. Yes - I can be so predictable.

Now I'm wondering if there are further clips of him and how well he did ultimately.

Blissed out hugs (and I'm playing it again a couple of times and saving to Memories),
H.

It's on YouTube, which is a website that if you don't know it already, you should. I've found many of my favourite videos from the 80s there, people put up funny animals, weird science (do a search on "corn starch"), and clips from TV shows. Steve had me use the search terms Britains Got Talent.

Have a look at the comments to this entry. Steve gives the links to Paul Potts' (that's the singer) MySpace. More video, and there is no "how he did ultimately" because the contest is still in progress. He'll be on British TV tonight, but that doesn't help us any, of course.

Oh, happy, happy, joy, joy (now who used to say that??? ::giggles::).

Through the link, I watched another vid showing him performing and winning the semi-finals. They say the finale is this Sunday - but are we in real time here?

Anyway, to use Brit-speak, I'm gobsmacked. His Time to Say Goodbye was even better than Nessun Dorma.

What a terrific cheerer-upper. Imagine having people applauding through your entire performance! Although, I feel so bereft living on this barbaric continent. It's always amazed me to see how many young people appreciate classical music in Europe (and I'll toss the U.K. into that geographic demographic).

Thanks, again, to both of you.
Vivacious tra-la-laing hugs,
H.
