Kishi’s name means Long and Happy Life, yet his real life is anything but happy.
After giving birth, Kishi’s mother died and Kishi’s father, who wasn’t married to his mother and was planning on taking off right after the child was born, was force to take Kishi.
Not having the mind set of a father; Kishi was often left home alone for hours and even sometimes neglected for weeks on end having to fend for himself.
When Kishi became older his father got involved with dealing and selling drugs and other illegal items and forced Kishi to be his carrier.
Kishi would never talk back to his father afraid of being abused and always did what he was told to do. But even this did not stop his father from becoming intoxicated at night and abusing Kishi senseless.
None of his classmates are aware (except for Keizou Tomochika) of how deeply abused and miserable Kishi really is. He usually wears a bigger worn out uniform jacket over his shirt to hide his bruises and always seems to have a smile on his face. Kishi decided if he can’t have a happy life at least he’d pretend at school that he does. He likes to tell the students that his Father is a doctor at a clinic about 2 hours away. And that each morning they wake up and eat breakfast together and talk and laugh.
Appearance:
Kishi has a very young boyish appearance. He actually is rather cute in an innocent way. His height is 5 feet 3 inches.
He doesn’t like that he looks so young. Most girls rarely look at him as boyfriend potential rather they seem to just see him as a really good friend, almost like one of the girls.
He usually wears a large oversized uniform coat (to cover up bruises) that is worn out and has several moth holes.
He tries his best to be clean and to look presentable to his class, but his lack of money and fathers carelessness doesn’t allow him to have better clothing.
His hair is usually messy and often looks like it needs a haircut as well.
He does take care of his hygiene and never smells bad.
Personality:
At home he’s quite and doesn’t leave his room unless called upon.
At school he’s the total opposite he’s a chatterbox and always making jokes and having people in his class laugh. You could say he’s the class clown.
He also likes to help out in school whenever he can and always makes sure to keep a smile on his face and be kind to everyone in the classroom, even the ones who aren’t so nice to him.

Kishi all threw his life has been told by his father that he’s worth nothing, but this only made Kishi stronger. Kishi figured that if he can handle being hated and abused by his own father he could handle anything.

Kishi’s features are very innocent and most people think he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Kishi most likely wouldn’t hurt a fly, but there were times when he has gotten frustrated and accidentally broke things without realizing.

Kishi is genially sweet to everyone, especially the girls. He has quick wit sense of humor which makes most of the girls and boys in class laugh. He also spends whatever time he has in helping others.

He doesn’t like seeing any other boys talking to Kaori and becomes furious inside when he does see it. Though he has never done anything to stop anyone guys from talking to Kaori, he has thought about it.
Kishi also has been known to get jealous whenever he sees people in his class having a better life and better family. Though he usually covers everything up with a smile and a few jokes.
Weak:
Being only 5 feet 3 inches and rather skinny, Kishi is most likely the weakest boy in his class and probably weaker than a few of the girls too.

Father - A loser who couldn’t careless for anyone else but himself. He goes from job to job because of his horrible working habits and bad attitude. He also sells drugs and other illegal items on side, where he forces Kishi to be his delivery boy with no disregard for his son’s life.
Mother - Very little is known about Kishi’s mother other than she was his father’s girlfriend and that she loved to paint. Kishi has one painting she created while she was pregnant with Kishi that he keeps on his bedroom wall. The painting is a smiling woman with her child in her arms sitting under a large tree next to a river.
Siblings - None that Kishi is aware of.
Extra-Curricular Activities: Kishi wanted to join the comedy club and also the drama, but is forced by his father to be home at a certain time. He sometimes however disobeys his father if he knows he won’t be home for a while and attends the clubs even though he’s not really a member.

Kishi is well behaved and usually never talks without permission during lessons. He is polite to every one of his teachers and makes excellent grades on mostly all his test, quizzes, and homework. He often asks if he could stay after school to help clean up.
If the teachers let him stay after he always request that they would write a note telling the reason for his delay. (Unaware that he asks this so his father doesn’t abuse him).
Kishi rarely misses school, yet one time he didn’t come for two weeks. When he returned his face was badly bruised and one of his eyes were puffy. Kishi explained that he and his father went on a camping trip and he accidentally fell down one of the high cliffs.
Though it is obvious that he has no money due to his worn out uniform, he still tries to bring in little gifts to his teachers on occasion.
Classroom Observation:
Kishi is funny smart-witted and always has a smile on his face, He enjoys building people up. He’s always joking around and making people laugh. He is rather smart so people usually ask him if he could help them with their homework because of his good grades. He always says yes, but whenever they ask if they can come over to his house to study, Kishi has some kind of excuse to why they can’t.
Classroom Clique:
Kishi would clique with anyone in the classroom as long as they weren’t horribly mean to him. He talks to everyone, even Keizou.

Cornelius:
When Kishi was 8 his father gave him Cornelius for his birthday. Cornelius is a corn snake and the only gift giving to Kishi by his father. Kishi loves Cornelius very much and for a long time Cornelius was his only real friend. Kishi takes him everywhere, he even brings Cornelius to school sometimes (though non of the teachers are aware of this). Cornelius is very well behaved and Kishi believes that he and Cornelius are able to read each others thoughts.
Kaori Matano:
Kaori’s warm and bubbly personality drew Kishi towards her immediately. Kaori is in drama and it was because of this that made Kishi want to join. Because of his circumstance however he could not, but Kaori always welcomes him to come to drama practice and to help out whenever he can. Kishi has a rather strong attraction towards Kaori and somewhere in the back of his mind he trully believes he and Kaori will end up together.
Toshio Kurosawa:
When Kishi first laid eyes on Toshio he was sure he had seen his own reflection. Toshio is short, smart-witted, loud, and a big goof-ball. It was no big surprise that these two hit it off right away. Druing school you could find Toshio and Kishi in a comdey duo, making most of their class laugh till it hurts. Kishi really enjoys Toshio’s companiship and tries to hang out with him as much as possible. The two don’t mind heading down over to the drama club to catch up on some Kaori watching from time to time. Though Kishi is rather jealous when it comes to other guys liking Kaori, he doesn’t seem to mind Toshio liking her. I suppose it’s because he knows she’ll never like Toshio in the same way that he does. Toshio’s grades are rather bad, so Kishi tuters him on some occassions, though this usually just ends up in having Kishi do all of Toshio’s homework, while Toshio sits on the couch and plays videogames.
Keizou Tomochika:
Keizou knows Kishi due to Kishi’s father being one of the Fuugouki cult best smugglers for illegal weapons and goods. Keizou and Kishi have chatted privately a few times and Kishi tried to be Keizou's friend. Keizou is not keen on making friends and Kishi can tell that he despises him. Still even though they’re not friends,they're not enemies either. If there’s any one good thing about Kishi’s father helping out the Fuugouki cult it’s that none of the members are allowed to hurt or kill Kishi in any situation.
Kaoru Ishibashi:
If there was one word that Kishi had to use to describe Kaoru. It would be BITCH! The girl has always been nasty to him and on occasions cruelly joked about his height and worn clothes to a few of her so-called friends. Kishi normally tries to avoid Kaoru as much as possible because he doesn’t enjoy the thought of wanting to slug a girl, for he one time came close to actually hitting Kaoru, after hearing her say a crude remark to Kaori.
Saburo Sakai:
This guy is almost three times Kishi’s height, yet some how he seems to be a sweetheart. Kishi liked Saburo when he first met him threw Toshio. He enjoyed his company and the three of them would hang out occasionally. Toshio would ignore Kishi some days to hang out with Saburo and this didn’t bother Kishi too much. It wasn’t till Kishi found out that Saburo like Kaori, that he slowly started to hate the guy. It wasn’t just the fact that he liked her, but rumor had it that Kaori liked him too and that they maybe going out!
After hearing this news Kishi soon wanted nothing to do with Saburo. He isn’t mean to Saburo or anything, but he tries his best to avoid him whenever possible and he rarely will hang out with Toshio if Saburo is going to come along. Of course he doesn’t let Toshio know he doesn’t like Saburo. He’s rather good at coming up with excuses as of why he cannot attend their get-together.
Sayo Hironari:
Sayo is a female version of Toshio in many ways. So, it isn’t surprising to find Sayo begging Kishi to come over her house to help her study. Of course like the situation with Toshio, Kishi often ends up doing Sayo’s homework while she runs around the house looking at random shiny objects. Kishi finds Sayo to be a ditz and an underachiever; still he can’t help but enjoy her presences whenever she’s around. She makes life more fun because you never know what she’s going to say or do next.
