I haven't had much to say on LJ lately, but I think this is important. It's a link to a quiz on the famine in the Horn of Africa, and one meal is given to a child there for every person who completes the quiz. It's from the UN World Food Programme website, so definitely no malware or viruses involved. There's also a link to donate here.

Canadians should note that the Canadian government has pledged to match donations through September 16th. I'm not sure exactly how to make sure that your donation gets matched. Here in Vancouver, the archdiocese is having a special second collection after all masses next Sunday and I know for sure that collection is getting matched and 100% going to Caritas Relief. If you're going to donate and you're in Canada, try to find a way to donate so that it gets doubled.
