Sooo, since I managed to get tickets to SMTown in NYC I decided I really need to reacquaint myself with LJ and all the yummy kpop goodness that I've been missing out on in the last century

My sister and I might be going. I haven't bought the tickets yet because I'm waiting to see if they release any more 100-level ones (not going to try for floor this time, don't wanna get squished).
I don't remember, but do you live in the NYC area? If not, what hotel are you staying at and what airline are you flying on? I'm trying to figure out where we're going to stay and which airline we'd get the best deal from.
I totally understand not wanting to be squished but since I haven't gotten floor seats before I figured it'd be worth the experience. Let's see if I regret that statement after the concert, haha.
I live in Connecticut so I'm just gonna take a train into the city and I have some friends that I'm planning on asking to put me up so I haven't done any airline/hotel research. I might do some hotel research just in case I can't find a place to crash...in that case I'll definitely let you know if I find anything good.
I've never been to a concert at MSG so I'm super-confused about the ticket scaling. I wanted to get seats in the promenade 100 level which looks like the second closest after the floor but I heard they were priced at $174 and promenade 200 level (which looks further away according to the seating chart) is priced at $227, I don't get why.
Anyway, I overslept because I forgot tix went on sale today so I wasn't able to start checking on Ticketmaster until 9:30am pacific time. Seems like all the promenade 100 level tix are sold out. :( So if they don't release more of those tix later then I might not be going because I don't want to pay over $200 a ticket if I've got airfare and hotel to pay for as well. :/
Oh, and also, if my sister and I are going, we want to do a little partying too in NYC while we're there even if it's just for a weekend -- do you go into the city much and know what the hotspots are right now? It's been a couple of years since we've been to NYC and last time we went to Tao, Lotus, and the rooftop bar/club Plunge of the Gansevoort Hotel in the meatpacking district, but I'm sure all those places are passe by now lol. >_<
If we're going, we'd love to hang out with you again. :D
Yay, good news! My sister and I ordered our tickets just now. As expected, TM released more 100 level tix. We're in Section 106, Row 14. Look forward to seeing you in NYC! Lemme know if you hear anything about which hotel the artists are staying because ideally that's where we'd like to stay so we can properly stalk like the fangirls we are. XD
You have my cell number, right? When are you planning on getting into the city? I haven't booked our airfare yet but I'm hoping to fly into La Guardia Saturday afternoon so my sister and I will have part of Sat in NYC, all of Sunday, and then fly out early Monday. We're looking at restaurants we want to go to while we're in town and I have to make reservations for those fairly soon, maybe you and your friend can join us for dinner Saturday night if I can book a flight that gets us in on time? Have you ever been to Butter? That's one of our fave NYC restaurants and we always go there when we're in town.
If it's the same as last year, yes! Mine's the same too but if you don't have it, let me know and I'll shoot you a text!
I'm planning on being in the city by Saturday morning and leaving Monday morning (my friend is flying in and out of my local airport) so dinner Saturday night, if you can get here on time, would be lovely! I haven't been to Butter but it looks great and we'd love to join you!
