Well, I think Nightcrawler will be okay.

If you think about it, they released the cover for the Uncanny issue post-MC and Nightcrawler is seen on it very much alive.

Do you think Cable is the traitor? I don't really think he'd be considered a traitor just for taking the baby. I also think the fact that Marvel openly admitted that Cable was still alive before MC started was lame, because we were all expecting him to show up, especially after they released information on his new ongoing. I dunno.

But this issue was awesome. I loved Bachalo's work right now. When he first started with Carey, it was good, but a terrible mess. Now it's very clear and I always know what's going on and it's a lot of fun to look at. Carey gets these characters, and I hope X-Men: Legacy turns out to be relevant to current X-universe continuity.

Anyway, blah blah. Nightcrawler should be cool.

I think he'll be fine too - I don't think he'll die, at any rate. We were promised the return of swashbuckling 'Crawler at any rate. >.> I wouldn't bet based on the cover, though. He's just sitting there on the lampost with his back turned - its not really obvious if, like Wolvie, Angel, and Colossus, he is leaving, or if he is staying at the Institute and just watching them leave. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that even post-MC, Nighty' still an invalid. He doesn't have much luck when it comes to fighting Marauders, does he. :P ( ... )

Cyclops is and always has been my favorite x-man. I've always had an affection for leader-type characters and Cyclops ranks up there with the top. So between last Astonishing and Messiah CompleX, he is kicking all kinds of ass and I hope this sticks for a long time.

I'm just wondering what they refer to as traitor, y'know? Like an x-man that is secretly working for the marauders or something. Or an x-man that betrays the ideals of xavier's dream (though I think everyone has given up on it at this point). I dunno, I don't see why any of them would do it. Why would they intentionally go against their friendships with the rest of the team to support Sinister. SINISTER! That doesn't make any sense. The majority of major x-men are good, upstanding people who wouldn't sellout for the team. I mean, if it's one of the shady types, then sure. But most of them already went to Sinister's side (though I wish Lady Mastermind had stuck around as an x-man).

Cyke is teh awrsum right now, no doubt. I can't say I'm generally a fan of his. (It seems to be a trend that Nightcrawler fans are often indifferent to ol' One-Eye.) But I would never contest that he's got a lot of great character potential. It's great to see that being used again - too many cool characters were left stagnant for the past decade, in favor or - well, I haven't figured out what that was in favor of yet. >.Yeah, I agree, which is why I guess Cable must be the "traitor" simply because of how he deceived Cyclops and the others both with his death and his hiding the location of the baby. It's just lame, though. To me, that can hardly brand him a traitor. A traitor is someone like Benedict Arnold, who has to be cast out or worse for his deceit. What Cable's done, as much as we've been shown so far, certainly isn't worthy of that much anger, and considering how worked up Scott was when he heard of Cable's death, it's not likely that would happen anyway. I'm willing to bet the word "traitor" was used just to keep us silly ( ... )
