How far apart? Not very, alas. I'll hear every note.

We haven't heard for certain about the car, but we *think* it's the water pump going.
What irks me about the car is that I'd had it serviced not long back and it didn't need another service till November! It should not be dying like this!
Oh well.

I guess it's better than Laura getting up and watching tv when she can't sleep. Unless you taught her how to plug in a set of headphones.

I haven't taught her how to turn the TV on yet. Most likely I'll find her at my bedside clutching the remote and saying "Mum come turn TV on?"

I wouldn't teach her - you're just as likely to wake up to VERY LOUD TELEVISION!!

I have the horrid thought that she'll learn by osmosis, and not only will it be VERY LOUD, it'll be VERY LOUD PINGU.

or she'll put a DVD on and the neighbours will hear the Playschool songs.
