climbs on a soapbox.

I get really tired of fans and their attitude that they are entitled to every little scrap of detail about an artist's personal life ( Read more... )

I don't know what's going on...but all I can say is, it's easy to find pictures of the guys all over MySpace. You know what I do? Save them for my own. I never post them. I don't know what all has happened recently, but if it makes you feel better....I never posted your Bachelorette Pics!

Love you and miss you...I'll call you soon. I'm off to the gym and to tan. Woo.

Whoo! Tan! I need one of those. ;) I am almost as pale as you usually are! My skin hasn't seen sun since last summer. Not that that is entirely a bad thing. I look young because I don't have a lot of sun damage ( ... )

I don't know what this is all about, but I can empathize with your anger. I don't share personal pics of folks I'm a fan of. If they want to post a pic on My Space, I'll just take a gander and let that be it.

A few months back, my cousin received a very prestigious honor, and a personal family picture of the event ended up on the internet. You would not believe the flaming and assumptions that ensued as a result. It was unfortunate, but it happened because someone shared a personal pic.

Great example of the fact that you don't have to be a celebrity to have something like this happen to you. It isn't about fame at all. It is about a person's right to be able to share an experience, as we all do, and not have to worry about where that picture will end up later. Yes, we all run the risk of having any publicly displayed picture taken from us at any time, but, generally, people have the common courtesy not to take and distribute them because they know pictures are personal property and that it isn't their place to do such a thing ( ... )

*flames*

No seriously, I agree with what you're saying. I once again don't have a clue with what's going on to cause this latest drama. It's getting to a point where I'm so out of the loop when it comes to this fandom.

Oddly enough, I am pretty out of the loop most of the time, too! ;) But that's just because I've been out of the loop when it comes to all things "online". I got involved with this, though, because a friend asked for my help, and I'm always there for my friends as much as I can be. This is also a topic that I've always felt very passionate about, ever since I worked with George, Jeff and the guys and had to put up with this stuff myself. It is one thing to be where I am now and watch it, and it is something else to be a part of the pictures!

It's crap like this that has made me LEAVE the fandom pretty much.

If it weren't for the guys, my friends, and the few really good eggs left in the fandom, I would be long gone! A large majority of the girls in this fandom boggle me, and not in a good way. I sit here and shake my head in amazement at the things that come out of their mouths. Not only do they lack tact, but apparently they lact common courtesy, too.

I LOVE your icon! That RULES!! Eddie rocks!!

soemone else talked about that yesterday and i just can not understand how GROWNUPS think it is ok to steal other ppls pitchers. that is what it is, it is stealing. you dont own the copyright, it is not yours to make copies of! if you see it cuz it is public that is fine, but do you no that even saving it to your own puter without permission is against the law? you are making a copy when you dont have the copyright. mama is awfly stern about stuff like that! she says it is portant to always always ASK for permission and not save it if the person who owns it says no ( ... )

You got it, girlfriend! :) Your mom sure taught you well! To tell you the truth, I don't have a serious problem if people save stuff down to their hard drives for personal viewing, I just have a really big problem with putting it up on their servers to share. I don't care how many different ways someone tries to justify it, those pictures aren't their property to share. Just because they are digital in nature, doesn't make them any less a person's property, and just because they're up in someone's MySpace blog, doesn't make them any less a person's property. They didn't TAKE the pictures. They weren't there at the time the photo was snapped. It doesn't matter how the pictures are displayed, period.

my mama is smart! i just wish she would get better cuz i miss her so bad :( today is awfly hard :( :( :(

you no what is funny bout the privacy thing? i dont no if it is the same with insync fans but a long time ago the others were in a differnt fandom. and it was the same wtih some ppl thinking they deserved to no EVRYthing about the person and most ppl saying no private live is PRIVATE. and some of the ones who always said that it is not an vasion of privacy to want to no evrything about a celebrity? they were the ones that did not use there real names online and would get SO MAD if anybody used there real name!! i think that is very funny cuz they want THERE privacy but they dont want somebody they are sposed to be fans of having ANY privacy. is it the same with insync fans you thot would flame you? do they not use there real names online?
