SUPER works well for converting video files to various extensions
A0A has a great dvd ripper ect but the free version only lets you rip 5min at a time which is a bit of a pain but you don't have to convert the files. They've also got some other really good software.
DVD Shrink is made of awesomeness since it lets you backup/rip whole dvd's. Only thing is you then have to convert the files to something usable.
Free Studio's got some awesome stuff. It'll rip from youtube ect and it's got a video converter which I use inconjunction with DVD shrink
DivX I know has some nice DVD ripping software but the trials pretty short and it watermarks which ugh.
And just FYI Videora Converter sucks at least on my computer because it has ads and I can't see the whole display on my mini's screen
KeepVid also lets you rip stuff off of youtube, and while the quality's good the resolution's ususally rather small.
