[NVC Day 14, Early Morning] -- [And So the Sun Rises] -- [Open to All]

Apr 29, 2010 10:16

After a long night at the theater, meeting Spock and his brother, and everything afterwards, it had been difficult to sleep. Along with the tickets, Jim had received a message about the trial's start the next morning. He had refused to let it bother him all night, just wanting to enjoy some time with Bones despite everything they had been forced to ( Read more... )

Pasha panted, the increased gravity and early morning heat made it extremely difficult to run with relative ease like she was used to. She slowed down to a gentle jog along the Vulcan coastline, the air here reminded her of that of San Francisco and jogging downtown in the mornings before anybody else on the Starfleet academy campus was awake.

As she finally slowed down to a walking pace she took a long drag from her water bottle, wetting her lips again and glancing around. New Vulcan was certainly pretty. It made a nice change from the inside of a Starfleet gymnasium. Then Pasha blinked and squinted as she spotted a familiar head of blonde hair. She pushed her hair out of her eyes before raising her hand to wave at him to garner his attention. “Keptain?”

...OH.

Jim laughed, just a little, unable to help it. He turned to face Pasha more fully, gesturing for her to come a little closer. "Pasha. He was jealous." How could someone be such a genius and miss that-- okay he missed plenty of things. Moving on.

"He was jealous seeing that Vulcan hitting on you. He was trying to make the Vulcan back off by thinking Sulu was with you. He likes you, and sounds like he's a little protective too."

"Did not mean he had to be such an ass about it." That poor Vulcan, she could have died of shame the way his eyebrows shot up when Hikaru had tried to hold her hand in front of him. "I told him that I do not need to be protected, I can handle myself. Vhen Sevan--that vas the Wulcan's name assumed that he vas my 'mate' he did not ewen try to correct him." Pasha sighed.

"...You were one at one point, how do you not know?" Jim boggled at the concept. "That's just how men are. Hell, I know I've done it before."

"I newer did that to Irina, I knew better then to, she vould hawe killed me. Literally." Pasha shuddered at the memory of her violent best friend when she was a child. "Hikaru vas lucky to get avay vith just a bruised arm." The last time she had seen his arm it had been a lovely shade of purple.

"Do you like him?" Jim said bluntly, leaning forward.

"Vhat is not to like?" She replied simply, even though all this talk of 'liking' people seemed awfully childish.

Well, so much for being subtle. Tactic number 2. "Do you love him?"

Fine, two could play at that game "Do you love Doctor McCoy?" She turned the question back on him.

The answer was simple, at least. He wondered when it had gotten easier to say, "Yes."

Pasha raised an eyebrow at that. "I am glad that one of us is certain." She noted, shuffling her feet.

"So you don't know if you love Sulu. How about something less drastic... do you like him as more than a friend?" He gestured a little with his hand.

"Definately." That much she was sure of at least. Pasha seemed remarkably less then happy about this.

Jim tapped a finger on his knee, thinking. "Is there some reason why you don't want to feel like that?" When did I become a therapist?

mr_chekov May 1 2010, 13:55:02 UTC
"Because." That really wasn't much of a reason. But in her mind there were far too many reasons to have a proper sensible conversation about it all.

Jim just kept giving her that look, waiting for more.
