the obligatory horse post
As of today, I Have a Horse.
It turns out that she's registered with the American Quarter Horse Association as "Hi Impressivist". (I don't know who among her previous owners named her Gemini, but it was a mercy. Of course, registration names are globally unique identifiers, so they end up being...odd.) She's got impressive bloodlines, being descended from Impressive, and on her dam's side, from other descendents of Three Bars. Really, I had no idea, she was just another rescue horse.
Anyway, she seems to be settling in well to the barn. She's seen the other horses, but hasn't been introduced to them yet.
I have no fixed schedule for ground work, mounted ring work, getting her on the trails, etc. We're taking things as they come.
