[The sounds of his footsteps shuffling to a stop can be heard. He reacts to the voice more so than the name as he doesn't recognize it. Instead he's wandering where that came from.]

[A lot of things were running through the boy's head at the moment. So many things that he couldn't even pin them all down and make sense of them. All these people who seemed to know him, this weird device, where he even was... All of it was a little too overwhelming for him. His body was on pain, he didn't want his head hurting from everything too.

His instincts told him to keep moving. He didn't trust any of them, even the younger boy. Rokuta knew better than to do so blindly, especially if they were rich. If the rich offered favors to the poor then they would want something in return most of the time. Yet despite all of that he was hungry and still a child. Food was so tempting and no one seemed to have the intention to do harm.

He stood up abruptly from where he had been sitting on the ground. It didn't matter. He needed to go back to where he was suppose to wait. Maybe all of this was just a dream anyway.]

[Of course there were tales, stories about Kirin. They might all never meet, nor exactly be close given their nature, though things still went around. Yet, the telling of something versus the reality of it was two different things. Although Enki was annoying at times, and seemed to take delight in pestering Keiki, they were, in a sense, related and a Kirin did have to see anyone suffering.

With Taiki's Gouran (and here Keiki sighed again, for the fact that his shirei were still absent was like a thorn in his side) as well as Keiki himself, they should be able to find the other Kirin before anything were to happen to him.]

[Youko had taken a few minutes to change, dressing with a lavender summer yukata and packing peaches and mochi for the starved Kirin. She knew that western clothes would make him freak out too much, and to ease the impact, at least she had to look Japanese in some way. However, it was uncomfortable to run with the sandals and the layers of her dress. She made a double effort to keep her fast pace.

Thinking about Rokuta made her wince. The image hit too close home to Youko and seeing a friend in those dire circumstances made her hate the curses even more.]

[Shouryuu hadn't bothered changing. He had merely packed some food and a large blanket into his bag before heading out the door. There had been no reason to change. Rokuta had seen him, and a change of attire would do little to change Rokuta's mind about him, if the king knew his kirin any. He had joined up with the search party not long after he had entered into the forest, keeping pace ( ... )
